This course is designed for medical professionals and dentists who wish to begin or enhance their practice in orofacial harmonisation, exploring advanced techniques in harmony, design, and aesthetics.

With a strong practical emphasis, it will involve working on realistic simulations that reproduce the main clinical challenges, learning how to balance function, aesthetics, and the patient’s facial features.

WHO IS SOFIA LOPES

Graduated in Dentistry from the University of Lisbon (1993), she holds a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Medicine and Anti-ageing from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Specialist in Orthodontics, Temporomandibular Disorder, and Facial Harmonisation, with pedagogical certification and extensive experience as a trainer in advanced courses on botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, mesotherapy, thread lifting, and tissue biostimulation.
Member of prestigious national and international institutions, such as OMD, SPEMD, SPO, ICD, and IAAFA, and President of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Association of Orofacial Harmonisation and Therapy (APHTOF).
Recognised for her clinical and academic practice, she combines science, innovation, and ethics to raise the standard of Orofacial Harmonisation in Portugal and worldwide, also engaging in voluntary oral health initiatives in Africa.

WHO IS LUDMILA FAVARETTO

Specialist in Orofacial Harmonisation with more than 15 years of experience, graduated in Dentistry from UFRJ (Brazil), with academic degree recognised by the University of Porto.
Holds the title of Specialist in HOF from the CFO and a pedagogical competence certification from IEFP in Portugal, qualifying her as both a national and international trainer.
Has built a solid background in leading institutions, with advanced courses in facial fillers, aesthetic rhinoplasty, biostimulators, lip sculpting, rejuvenation, and complication management, as well as fresh cadaver practice.
Recognised as a trainer in Facial Harmonisation, she has trained professionals in different countries, combining scientific rigour, safety, and innovation to elevate the standards of facial aesthetics.

Fundamentals of orofacial harmonisation and facial assessment.
Applied anatomy of the face, neck, and skin.
Botulinum Toxin: techniques, protocols, and safety.
Facial Fillers: product selection, application, and complications.
Peelings and Mesotherapy: rejuvenation, hydration, and non-surgical facial liposculpture.
Biostimulators and Bioremodellers: rejuvenation and skin firming protocols.
Clinical guidelines, safety, and complication management.

PREREQUISITE Graduates or Masters in Medicine or Dentistry with their professional registration duly regularised, from any member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

To master the necessary skills and advanced techniques to balance facial aesthetics and function, using minimally invasive procedures that correct asymmetries, improve proportions, and enhance the beauty of the patient’s smile and skin.
